I have known Bayezid Bin Waheed for quite sometime now,and it was about time I thought the people behind the scenes of Bangladesh Band music should no longer be behind the scenes, and here is my attempt to know him better, better for the readers. He is an excellent photographer of recent times, his works with lives concerts of mainstream to underground has been seen everywhere, and I wanted to have a formal talk with him this time. So,here we go.
GuitarNeverlies:Since when did you get into photography professionally? Would like to share us your background and education?
Bayezid:I started photography since 2004, but took it professionally from 2010. I completed my Graduation from ULAB. I studied Media Studies and Journalism; Major was in Digital Production.
GuitarNeverlies:How does it really feel to you to work with the musicians?
Bayezid:It feels really great to work with musicians.though I was a musician before.music is in.my blood
GuitarNeverlies:Band photography, how good is it as a part of photography in general?
Bayezid:In my Opinion Band Photography is different from others Photography. And I found it’s the best for me.
GuitarNeverlies:What are the barriers to achieve professional level of musical photography? And challenges?
Bayezid:In other photography you will get a moment to fix or decorate your frame. But in Band photography there is no scope for that. We have to be ready for the every moment to click. And guess what; for a single Picture sometimes we have to clicks 3-5 shots. As its Live; it’s tough to find pure Shots. That’s Challenging work I think.
GuitarNeverlies:Would you share us your future plans? And what are the aspects of the new generation if they want to follow their carrier with musical photography?
Bayezid:In future I want to open an institution where I can showcase Band/Musical Photography to our New Generation. There will be a Hall where my best shots will be Exhibits for the Exhibitors, and also there will be a scope to learn band photography.
Band Photography is getting its enormous trending in our country nowadays. It has a very good future ahead. If they are passionate about Band/Music Photography, they are always welcome.
